Navy Legalman

The JAG Corps selects, develops, and retains a diverse force of mature, intelligent and challenge-seeking personnel for the Legalman, or paralegal, rating. Legalmen work under the supervision of attorneys, preparing and processing legal documents in the areas of military justice, legal assistance, and administrative, civil and operational law. Their knowledge and expertise make them a valuable asset to civilian law firms if and when they decide to leave the Navy.
