About Indiana CLEO
Indiana CLEO, or Conference For Legal Education Opportunity, is a program designed to support minority, low-income and disadvantaged Hoosier students by giving them a unique networking program and summer institute to help them succeed in law school. The Indiana CLEO Summer Institute is held annually to introduce new CLEO fellows to the program. The first Summer Institute was held in the summer of 1997 at Indiana Universitys Bloomington Law School. In 1997, 30 students enrolled in the first CLEO institute and 25 students went on to graduate from law school, representing all of Indianas law schools. Since 1997, 300 students have successfully completed the Summer Institute and 287 have graduated law school.
