2008-09 Goose hunting with a bow.

All these goose hunting shots were taken 11/08-01/09. I took the shots between 43 and 55 yards. All shots on water were head/neck shots. All shots on the ice were body shots to prevent misses from bouncing uncontrollably off the ice. ALL SHOTS WERE LEGALLY TAKEN DURING REGULATED WATERFOWL SEASON WITHIN LEGAL RESTRICTIONS. To pre-empt foolish comments about Federal law restricting bow hunting on Waterfowl I recommend doing a little searching. With a couple clicks you can find the web site for Red Rock National Wildlife Refuge at www.fws.gov/redrocks/Information-For-Hunters.htm it CLEARLY states: "Gun and bow hunting are permitted in designated areas of the Refuge for: ducks, geese, and coots.." Not likely theyd post that if it were against federal law. One can also read TITLE 50 Section 20 of the federal code which outlines the federal regulations regarding waterfowl/regulations.
